Training: Binary cross-entropy loss, negative sampling, Adam optimizer with weight decay 5e-4, early stopping with patience-based checkpoint restoration.

Regularization (v3.2.0): BatchNorm after first GCN layer, dropout 0.5 (up from 0.3), shuffled train/test split, feature-derived labels for synthetic graphs.

Metrics: 98.1% train / 75.0% test accuracy on synthetic graph (200 nodes, 598 edges); ~99.8%/99.8% on real knowledge graph.

Import: graph_ai/__init__.py uses lazy __getattr__ for GraphExporter to avoid requiring pydantic_settings at import time. Models and trainer are imported directly.

Graph Export: Neo4j → 16-dim feature matrix (one-hot type + risk + hash features) → PyTorch tensors.

13. Contributing

Architecture Principles

  1. Modular design — Each subsystem is independently testable
  2. Abstract base classes — All agents inherit from BaseAgent
  3. Async-first — All I/O operations are async/await
  4. Feature flags — New features gated behind environment flags
  5. Structured loggingstructlog (Python) / OpenTelemetry (TS)
  6. Schema validation — Pydantic (Python) / Zod (TypeScript)

How to Add a New Agent

# 1. Create ai-platform/backend/app/agents/my_agent.py
from app.agents.base_agent import BaseAgent

class MyAgent(BaseAgent):
    def __init__(self):
        super().__init__(name="MyAgent", description="Does X")

    async def execute(self, target: str, context: dict = None) -> dict:
        # Your logic here
        return {"entities": [...], "risk_score": 0.5}

# 2. Register in orchestrator.py or coordinator.py
# 3. Add endpoint in endpoints.py
# 4. Add frontend component if needed

How to Add a New Tool

// 1. Create src/tools/MyTool.ts implementing Tool interface
// 2. Register in src/tools.ts
// 3. Define input schema with Zod
// 4. Add permission rules

PR Guidelines

  1. Create a feature branch
  2. Keep PR scope focused (one feature per PR)
  3. Add type annotations for all new code
  4. Update documentation for new modules
  5. Test locally before submitting

Disha — A self-learning, distributed, multimodal AGI platform for intelligent threat analysis and AI-powered development.
3,700+ files · 452K+ lines · 7 agents · 40+ tools · 50+ commands · 78 web components · PPO RL · PageRank · Vision + Audio · AutoGen collaboration · Historical Strategy AI

14. Historical Strategy Intelligence

⚔️ Scope: Strictly educational — historical conflict analysis, strategy classification, and academic simulation only. No real-world offensive capabilities.

The Historical Strategy Intelligence module is a standalone AI system within Disha that provides:

14.1 Data Pipeline

Location: historical-strategy/data/

The pipeline loads, cleans, and processes historical_data.json into feature vectors for ML training.

historical_data.json  →  pipeline.py  →  processed/features.npy
                                      →  processed/labels.npy
                                      →  processed/metadata.json

Data Schema:

Field Type Description
id string Unique identifier
name string Conflict name
year int Year (negative = BCE)
era string Ancient / Medieval / Early Modern / Modern / Contemporary
country_a / country_b string Opposing sides
region string Geographic region
strategy_type string Primary strategy used
outcome string Victory / Defeat / Draw
terrain string Battlefield terrain type
technology_level string Era technology classification
key_tactics array Specific tactical approaches
lessons array Key strategic lessons

python model/evaluate.py

Strategy Types Classified: Guerrilla · Conventional · Naval · Siege · Psychological · Blitzkrieg · Attrition · Flanking · Deception · Coalition

Model files:

14.3 Simulation Engine

Location: historical-strategy/simulation/

The HistoricalSimulationEngine computes strategy outcomes using:

  1. Historical success rates per terrain (10×6 effectiveness matrix)
  2. Force ratio multipliers (numerical advantage/disadvantage)
  3. Technology gap modifiers (±20% per level)
  4. Supply line and morale factors
  5. Strategy counter-effectiveness (e.g. Guerrilla counters Conventional)

Simulation inputs:

Parameter Type Description
attacker_strategy string Strategy type attacker employs
defender_strategy string Strategy type defender employs
terrain string Battlefield terrain
force_ratio float Attacker/Defender force ratio (0.1–5.0)
technology_gap float Attacker advantage in technology (-2 to +2)

19.5 Continuous Learning & Self-Healing Remarks

The repository implements a continuous learning loop where:

This is a self-healing system: training failures recover via synthetic fallback, metric regressions block bad checkpoints, and hyperparameters adapt to stagnation. The learning is truly continuous — each round builds on the previous checkpoint.

20.2 Bug Fixes

Bug 1: Orchestrator DNS Relationship Logic

File: ai-platform/backend/app/agents/orchestrator.py (line 129)

Problem: The _build_relationships() method created RESOLVES_TO edges from DNS records to ANY entity type (wallets, hosts, domains, etc.), producing spurious relationships in the knowledge graph.

Before:

elif entity["entity_type"] == "dns_record":
    related = True
    rel_type = "RESOLVES_TO"

After:

elif entity["entity_type"] == "dns_record" and other["entity_type"] in ["host", "domain"]:
    related = True
    rel_type = "RESOLVES_TO"

Impact: Prevents false positive edges in the entity knowledge graph, improving investigation accuracy.

Bug 2: Quality Score Overflow

File: auto_learning/learning_controller.py (line 104)

Problem: The source credibility section (documented as 0–25 points) could return up to 30 points because cred_bonus (0–5) was added uncapped on top of 25 * cred (0–25).

Before:

total += 25 * cred + cred_bonus

After:

total += min(25, 25 * cred + cred_bonus)

Impact: Quality scores now correctly stay within the 0–100 total range as documented.

21. v3.2.0 — GNN Overfitting Fix & Model Improvements (12-04-2026)

Version: v3.2.0 Date: 12-04-2026 Scope: GNN model fixes, import dependency resolution, training pipeline improvements

21.1 Problem Statement

The GNN node classifier showed severe overfitting: 99.8% train accuracy but only 7.2% test accuracy — essentially random chance for a 4-class problem. This was flagged as Demerit #1 in the LEARNING_LOG.

21.2 Root Causes Identified

# Root Cause Impact
1 Random labels — synthetic graph assigned random class labels unrelated to node features Model learned noise, couldn’t generalize
2 Sequential split — first 80% train, last 20% test Possible data distribution mismatch
3 Insufficient regularization — dropout 0.3, no BatchNorm, no weight decay Easy to memorize training data
4 No early stopping — trained for fixed epochs regardless of validation performance Overfitted beyond optimal point

21.3 Fixes Applied

GNN Models (ai-platform/backend/graph_ai/models.py)

Change Before After
GCNEncoder regularization dropout=0.3 dropout=0.5 + BatchNorm1d after first layer
GraphClassifier No batch normalization Added BatchNorm1d(hidden//2) + dropout=0.5

Training Script (ai-platform/backend/graph_ai/train.py)

Change Before After
Label generation torch.randint(0, num_classes, ...) Feature-derived: dominant feature quadrant determines class
Train/test split Sequential: train[:0.8], test[0.8:] Shuffled: torch.randperm(num_nodes)
Early stopping None Patience=20, best model checkpoint restoration
Weight decay 1e-3 5e-4
Named constant Magic number for noise rate LABEL_NOISE_RATE = 0.1 extracted

Import Fix (ai-platform/backend/graph_ai/__init__.py)

Change Before After
GraphExporter import Eager from graph_ai.graph_exporter import GraphExporter Lazy __getattr__ — only imports when accessed
pydantic_settings dependency Required at import time for any graph_ai import Only required when GraphExporter is actually used

21.4 Updated Metrics

Metric Before (v3.1.0) After (v3.2.0) Change
GNN train accuracy (synthetic) 99.8% 98.1% -1.7% (less overfitting)
GNN test accuracy (synthetic) 7.2% 75.0% +67.8%
GNN test accuracy (knowledge graph) ~99.8% Real-world data
Link prediction loss 0.316 1.299 Different graph size
Graph nodes 2,494 200 Smaller synthetic graph
Graph edges 7,636 598 Smaller synthetic graph
RL reward 22.03 22.24 +0.21

21.5 Verified ✅

Check Result
GNN test accuracy > 50% on synthetic graph ✅ 75.0%
GNN train/test gap < 30% ✅ 23.1% gap
graph_ai imports work without pydantic_settings ✅ Lazy getattr
continuous_train.py uses improved GNN pipeline ✅ Updated
No new security vulnerabilities introduced ✅ CodeQL clean
